DUM-E

Our 2023 robot, Dum-E, was made to quickly pick up cubes and cones and score them onto three levels. Our double-jointed arm, being 5 feet long, is able to reach out of the robot to place both cubes and cones and can pass through itself to pick up cubes from our intake. It was made to optimize speed with strength and can swing through itself incredibly fast to place pieces in under a second. Our intake picks up cubes, centers them, and hands them off to the arm to quickly score without needing precise driver alignment. Our robot is also equipped with a two-camera custom vision system, which allows for auto-driving and autonomous placement using the April tags around the field to locate the robot with under a centimeter of precision.
